How it came about HOVERCRAFT ALASKA is dedicated to the education of hovercraft. We also set goals, having a hovercraft club, establishing Insurance, a National Training school, a memorial for hovercraft pioneers of Alaska, and establishing an historical hovercraft archive in the Alaska museum. Our first 6 years we had a very successful hovercraft club, during 4 of those years we spent a many hours setting up scenarios in hopes of finding an insurance carrier to look at this issue, and working on the other goals. We were a bit discouraged at first considering all the effort we put into this! After waiting two more years, we tried contacting the original carrier again. November 2006, with the helpful and friendly people at Denali Alaskan Insurance, LLC, we have finally accomplished the task. It’s been a long journey with hundreds of hours bringing us to our goal. What it is
Denali Alaskan Insurance, LLC and Sun Coast General Insurance Agency, Inc. have access to a hovercraft insurance program. The program will cover commercial and personal use. Homebuilt hovercrafts can be considered. Denali Alaskan Insurance, LLC and Sun Coast General Insurance Agency, Inc. are currently licensed in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. The following coverages can be quoted: 1) Hull 2) Liability 3) Medical Payments 4) Personal effects 5) Trailer coverage Hull coverage covers the hovercraft in the water, on land, in storage and while being transported on land. Trailer coverage is included. Injury to passengers would be included under watercraft liability. Personal effects coverage is available for up to $5,000. Third Party Liability is covered under Watercraft Liability. Legal costs are included. |
