This is the latest venture going on in Alaska, The company builds Sevtec hovercraft, and have begun modifying the plenum design. They have only built a few of their own hovercraft, and have sold many of the older models previously built by the past group from 3C's marine, and Hovercraft Club of Alaska (see below). With no experience until beginning their venture in the past three years, they continue advertising hovercraft charters with little success. Hovercraft sales continue to be slow. We have heard of some dissatisfaction in quality, and the company does not associate with other hovercraft groups!
"Keith Clark, the new Alaska Dealer for Air Commander hovercraft started his enterprise 1/12/2006 in Fairbanks Alaska. We had a couple of emails from him early on. Seems this enterprise can now be added to this page in history! The link does not work and the phone # is not available. Our attempts to find Keith have been futile"... 12/06

Alaska Hovercraft: (Manufacture @ school) Anchorage, Alaska
The first manufacture of hovercraft in Alaska, (see Alaska Hovercraft link). The company started in the 1970's and continued thru the early 1980's. Alaska Hovercraft had for a short time, the only USCG approved hovercraft school in the Nation. The text was that of the UK version. Hovercraft in the United States was still in it's infancy, the school text is now no longer in favor with the USCG. The company broke apart and the new Company became ACT-1, (Air Cushion Technologies). Alaska hovercraft then built a couple more hovercraft and then went out of business. Act-1, continued for a couple more years and finally went out of business also.
Alaska Hovercraft, Lynden Inc. (Manufacture and Dealer) Anchorage, Alaska (Website)
"Alaska Hovercraft sells and leases commercial-size hovercraft". This company bought 2, AP.1-88"s and by word of mouth approximately 20 or so LACV-30 for a dollar apiece, military surplus. We know of only one that is operational. One of the AP.1-88 is currently operating on Yukon River, the other sits mothballed at the port of Anchorage and is used as parts for the operating one. This company has not associated with the club or any other hovercraft prospect in Alaska to date. We have for many years tried to associate with them about the betterment of hovercraft. We have tried consistently to work with them only to be put off. Alaska Hovercraft has no manufacturing facility any where that we are aware. The off shoot of all of this, is also known as "Alaska Hovercraft Ventures". (See Alaska known hovercraft list page under UK civil hovercraft registrations)
Email written to Ken on October 8, 2003 in reply to accessing information from Lynden, Inc. website
We are a commercial Hovercraft operation that does in fact operate a Hovercraft out of Bethel to deliver mail to remote Alaskan Villages. You are welcome to print things on your website from past articles. We are not affiliated with any clubs in the USA or elsewhere and do not sponsor other hovercraft enterprises. Thank you for your inquiry.
Cheers,
Lynden Inc.
"BONNIE AND CLYDES WILDLIFE ESCAPES"
This venture was in Seward Alaska, and never got off the ground. The hovercraft was the original Neoteric.
3C's Marine: (School) Anchorage, Alaska
The school started at the ports of Anchorage in the mid 1980's. At the time, there were a couple of hovercraft that were being used for training and the text was from the original school of Alaska Hovercraft. There was no manufacturing, and then it went out of business shortly after getting started.
Alaska Hovercraft Cruising Club: (Club) Wasilla, Alaska
This club started in the Wassila area in the mid or late 1990's. This is all the information that was set up and then there has been no contact with this club. Continued effort to find out more about this has been futile.
Steins Hovercraft Enterprises: (Dealer for Hovercraft Concepts) Kiana, Alaska
This company started up in the early 1990's and we have never heard or been contacted by them. We spent considerable time trying to contact this dealer with no response.
Hovercraft Club Of Alaska: (Club) Anchorage, Alaska
We started this club November 1998 and continued it through January 2003. We had gathered 178 members. In January the club met with opposition from several members and we relinquished only the right of the name to them. We do not associate with this club in a membership form. This club incorporated and the annual costs are at $30.00 dollars a year. The Hovercraft Club of America has wished them good luck and so have we!
12/2006 - We have gotten no response from this club for the last 6 months and believe it is now been terminated.
